CfP Special Issue on "Organizations and Society in Switzerland"
See the CfP here.
The Special Issue examines how organizations shape, mediate, and respond to major societal transformations in Switzerland and beyond. We welcome empirical and conceptual contributions from across organizational sociology addressing topics such as geopolitical change, sustainability transitions, digitalization and technological change, transformations of work, demographic shifts, governance, organizational power, legitimacy, inequality, and collective action.
Switzerland offers a particularly rich setting for organizational research, combining a diverse landscape of internationally significant organizations with distinctive institutional features such as federalism, corporatist traditions, multilingualism, and strong transnational embeddedness.
Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract of approximately 1,000 words, outlining the research question, theoretical framing, methodology, and expected contribution. Selected authors will subsequently be invited to submit a full manuscript.
Deadline for extended abstracts: October 20th, 2026.
We particularly encourage submissions from early-career researchers and welcome contributions from all linguistic regions of Switzerland as well as from international scholars working on Swiss organizations and institutions.
