Analysis of data from the MOSAiCH 2022 survey, representative of the Swiss resident population, shows that women and non-heterosexual people report more experiences of gender-based discrimination and violence than other groups. We discuss the validity of these results in light of those obtained in other surveys and the usefulness of more systematically incorporating indicators of experiences of discrimination and violence into general social surveys.
