New call for applications - the SJS is recruiting new editors

As part of the editorial team, you will be responsible for a range of publication-related tasks, including evaluating manuscripts and special issue proposals, communicating with authors, promoting the journal in academic forums and supporting outreach efforts.

SJS aims to have a balanced editorial board that reflects a variety of thematic areas, methodological approaches, gender, linguistic regions, academic stages, and institutional contexts. To be eligible, applicants must hold a PhD in sociology (or a closely related field), be affiliated with a Swiss university, and be familiar with the landscape of sociological research in Switzerland.

Given the current composition of the editorial board and the planned departures, we particularly welcome applications from female scholars based in German-speaking Switzerland.
